About Dr. Khalsa
Hari Khalsa is originally from upstate NY and was exposed at a young age to many different forms of medicine including herbal, chiropractic, acupuncture, ayurvedic, and also yoga and meditation.
She went on to do her undergraduate education at State University of New York at New Paltz where she majored in Biology and Chemistry. In addition, she spent time researching in an Orthopedic Surgery lab focusing on cell regeneration. She spent her free time Rock Climbing in the Gunks.
She then spent a year in Huancayo, Peru treating patients in medical clinics, working with at-risk youth and learning Spanish. She came back to the US in 2006 and completed her medical school education at Tufts University in Boston, MA. Afterwards, she pursued her Emergency medicine residency at Christiana in Delaware.
She has been practicing Emergency medicine for many years now, and has now incorporated medical marijuana into her practice.
As an emergency medicine physician, she has seen first hand how many people with different medical conditions could benefit from medical marijuana. She is passionate about bringing this emerging treatment to people that would benefit.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, rock climbing, snowboarding and spending time with her husband.
